Bahrain woman charged with insulting Hindu religious symbol August 16, 2020 at 11:29PM

A woman in Bahrain seen smashing statues of the Hindu deity Lord Ganesha in a video published online has been charged with intentional damage and publicly insulting a religious symbol. Shortly after, the public prosecution issued a statement saying that the woman will be tried in court. Khalid al-Khalifa, advisor to the king of Bahrain said her actions were unacceptable.
