At least 20 people are feared dead and over 100 injured after two trains collided in Bangladesh.Officials fear that the toll could rise further with a significant number of people sustaining injuries.According to AFP, the crash took place in the eastern city of Bhairab when a freight train smashed into a passenger train travelling in the opposite direction.The collision caused two passenger carriages to derail, officials said. "We have recovered 15 bodies, many are injured," Sadiqur Rahman, a government administrator in Bhairab told AFP.

Police in Cyprus on Monday arrested ten individuals suspected of running a crime gang trafficking migrants, as the island saw a fresh spike in arrivals over the weekend. Cyprus, which lies at the crossroads of three continents, has seen irregular migration rise since 2017. Cypriot officials have in recent days repeatedly expressed concern that the rapidly deteriorating security situation in the Middle East could lead to a surge in people fleeing the area.
