Flights cancelled during China's worst sandstorm in decades March 14, 2021 at 06:48PM
China's capital and a wide swath of the country's north were enveloped Monday in the worst sandstorm in a decade, leading to the cancelation of hundreds of flights. Skyscrapers in the center of Beijing appeared to drop from sight amid the dust and sand. Traffic was snarled and more than 400 flights out of the capital's two main airports were canceled before noon.

Dutch police used water cannon and horses to clear anti-government protesters in The Hague Sunday, the day before three days of voting starts in national elections. Security forces killed at least 14 protesters in a poor, industrial suburb of Myanmar's main city on Sunday and at least three people in other parts of the country, according to local media. State television said a policeman had also been killed in one of the bloodiest days of protests against the Feb 1 coup.
