As the Afghan Taliban has claimed complete control of Afghanistan and are working towards forming a government in the country, Pakistan is witnessing a new surge of terror attacks in the country, which are being claimed by the Pakistani faction of the Afghan Taliban, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). In the most recent terror attack, a suicide bomber detonated his explosives near a security checkpoint in the restive southwestern Pakistan, claiming the lives of at least three paramilitary personnel and wounding at least 15 others.
