Taiwan train derails, 36 dead, many injured April 01, 2021 at 05:59PM

At least 36 people have died after a train derailed on Friday in eastern Taiwan, while 72 were injured, the transport ministry said. The train, travelling to Taitung, came off the rails in a tunnel just north of Hualien causing some carriages to hit the wall of the tunnel, the fire department said in a statement.
