Saudi Arabia: Self-employed expats could face 50,000 riyal fine, jail and deportation January 16, 2026 at 10:23PM

Expats in Saudi Arabia working self-employed were reminded to comply with residency, labour, and border laws. Non-compliance can result in fines up to 50,000 riyals, six months’ imprisonment, and deportation.
