वहीं, यूनाइटेड किंगडम (UK) में वायरस का नया स्ट्रेन (नया स्वरूप) सामने आने के बाद स्थिति गंभीर है। यहां टियर-4 के प्रतिबंध हैं यानी गैर-जरूरी दुकानें, मनोरंजन के साधन पूरी तरह बंद हैं। कुछ देश ट्रैवल बैन को और सख्त किए जाने की मांग कर रहे हैं। UK के वैज्ञानिकों ने सरकार से अपील की है कि देश में लॉकडाउन लगा देना चाहिए।

दुनिया में कोरोना के अब तक 8 करोड़ 11 लाख 42 हजार 113 मामले सामने आ चुके हैं। इसमें से 5 करोड़ 72 लाख 91 हजार 218 लोग ठीक हो चुके हैं। महामारी के चलते 17 लाख 71 हजार 884 लोगों की जान जा चुकी है।
