The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for an explosion in a Shiite Muslim neighborhood in Kabul, Afghanistan. The attack resulted in the death of at least four people and left seven others critically wounded. The group stated that they had placed a booby-trapped suitcase inside a Shiite gathering place, causing heavy damage to a sports club and injuring around 35 people. The Islamic State has targeted the Dashti Barchi area of Kabul multiple times and has carried out attacks on schools, hospitals, and mosques in Afghanistan.
